Full-time 2 days ago Full Job Description JOB Under the general direction of the Program Supervisor, performs a variety of clerical and technician duties within a team environment and provides support and assistance to the supervisor and clients.
The Clinic Program Technician serves clients at the front desk, from scheduling appointments and registering, to checking out.
This position handles incoming calls and various other duties to keep the clinic flow moving along.

1.
Patient check-in and check-out including handling of cash and credit card payments.
2.
Register clinic patients into the Electronic Medical Record System.
3.
Provide information via in person or on phone about clinic services.
4.
Assist with various tasks to keep clinic programs organized.
5.
Manage various controls in accordance with federal and state requirements (e.
g.
, lab controls meeting CLIA requirements).
6.
Supply inventory.
7.
Accept donations and collect payment.
8.
Record team meeting minutes for clinic programs.
9.
Track program data and assist with customer survey process.
10.
Coordinate Facebook postings and waiting room electronic display programing in coordination with Clinic Supervisor.
11.
Maintains clinic stock of educational materials.
12.
Provide back up to the BEST safety program.
13.
Perform clinic reports as needed and daily cash out reports.
14.
Handling of clinic specimens.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES 1.
Gather confidential information from clients when presenting for services, complete appropriate form(s), and enter data into the electronic record as necessary.
2.
Perform a variety of clerical duties, including responsibilities that are associated with program related software.
3.
Administer routine tests (e.
g.
, height, weight, blood pressure, lead, urinalysis, hematocrit) and record results in electronic record.
4.
Clean and prepare examination rooms as needed ensuring that each room is fully stocked at the end of the day.
5.
Maintain client confidentiality per Calhoun County Public Health Department's HIPAA policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Assist program as needed with updating and maintaining files, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other clerical duties.

Participate in team and general staff meetings.

Participate in public health quality programs (e.

, Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control).
4.
Participation in emergency exercises and training required.
5.
Assess own needs for professional growth and participates in education that increases knowledge and skills in area of responsibilities.

Adhere to established policies and procedures and maintains client confidentiality.
7.
Complete or assist with completion of required program reports, as needed.
8.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Knowledge normally acquired through the completion of specialized training in clinical work at a paraprofessional level.
2.
Two to four years of experience working with the general public in a human service or healthcare setting is preferred.

Strong Microsoft Office and data entry skills.
Must become proficient in program-related software within 90-180 days contingent on the software.
4.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
5.
Ability to multi-task simultaneous projects requiring concentration and attention to detail with frequent distractions due to people or telephone calls.
6.
A valid Michigan driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and a personal vehicle including proof of vehicle insurance are required.
