1.
Provide STD and HIV counseling and testing per protocols.
2.
Provide gynecological and male health exams when necessary.
3.
Administer medications per medical standing orders including STD treatment and birth control.
4.
Maintain HAPIS certification to provide HIV counseling and testing, as needed or appropriate.
5.
Provide specimen collection (venipuncture, urine, stool, sputum, etc.
) of all age groups.
6.
Provide immunization to adults and children; extensive knowledge of immunization schedule and recommendations.
7.
Provide immunization waiver education.
8.
Possess ability to exercise independent judgement within scope of practice and standing orders.
9.
Provide clinic services at the Calhoun County Correctional Facility to inmates.
10.
Work within the limited community resources by referring patients to the appropriate local agencies.
11.
Provide education and resources on subjects such as, family planning, immunizations, lead exposure and prevention and safe sex practices.
12.
Ensure patient confidentiality in all settings.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Under the general direction of the Program Supervisor, provides nursing services to individuals and families.
1.
Provide a nursing assessment on individuals who present for services, possibly including a health history, physical assessment, and a psychosocial assessment.
2.
Administer medications per medical standing orders.
3.
Provide information and referrals as necessary.
4.
Document services performed; maintain required program records.
5.
Monitor inventory of medications per Michigan Pharmacy Law and place order as is necessary.
6.
Ensure compliance with Accreditation standards.
7.
Provide input for new or revised policies and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES1.
Participate in team and general staff meetings.
2.
Participate in public health quality programs (e.
g.
, Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control).
3.
Participation in emergency exercises and training required.
4.
Assess own needs for professional growth and participates in education that increases knowledge and skills in area of responsibilities; maintains required Nursing CEUs.
5.
Adhere to established policies and procedures and maintain client confidentiality.
6.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Must be a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Michigan.
2.
One to three years of experience in nursing is required, with an emphasis in public health preferred.
3.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to provide courteous and accurate information often under stressful situations for families.
4.
Good computer skills to communicate regularly via e-mail and to collect data on electronic forms or formatted spreadsheets.
5.
Mental ability to frequently handle simultaneous projects requiring concentration and attention to detail with frequent distractions due to people and/or telephone calls.
6.
Occasionally required to climb and/or kneel and periodically required to stoop or bend to accommodate different working positions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
