Summary:
Serves as secretary to the building administrative team and as facilitator for the school/public being served in communicating information, problem solving and record keeping.
Duties are in support of the accurate maintenance of student attendance records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibilities Regular, dependable attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure high quality work performance.
Greets visitors.
Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, route calls, set appointments.
Serves as the confidential secretary to the building administrative team.
Prepare and send weekly communicable disease to health department.
Distributes mail.
Distributes community/district flyers.
Provides communication when homework requests are required for students due to absences.
Maintains building map and door name plates throughout the building.
Manages the production and distribution of student identification cards.
Receive and process field trip request forms.
Enter all non-athletic special transportation requests in the appropriate system.
Maintains all non-athletic rosters in Skyward.
Conduct homework requests for students who meet appropriate criteria.
Maintains MCIR database for immunizations and provides communication to parents as necessary.
Maintenance of locker information in Skyward.
Completes the enrollment and dropping of students from the student informations system, as coordinated with Central Office.
Maintains the CA-60 files for students Tracks the posting of grades at the conclusion of each marking period.
Runs and posts grade cards in Skyward at appropriate time(s) of school year.
Runs and publishes the honor roll at appropriate time(s) of school year, including the publishing on the web page, in communications and prepares the certificates recognizing honor roll attainment.
Record student late arrivals/leave early attendance.
Reconcile daily attendance and process weekly summaries.
Secondary Responsibilities Maintain the security of the building by authorizing entrance into the building.
Attends Open House and Conferences as requested.
Provides appropriate first aid needs.
Administers medication according to policy and regulations to include insulin treatments, inhalers, nebulizers, and epi pens.
Maintenance of applicable portions of the CA-60 files, such as attendance records, discipline records, custody records, etc.
Review and update of alert information in Skyward for assigned grade levels, both annually and as needed throughout the year.
Assists other office staff during periods of high volume in their various assigned duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/ Certification:
High School diploma or Equivalent is required Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills Performs basic mathematical calculations Basic bookkeeping skills Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google productivity tools (such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.
), including the willingness to learn and use new computer programs/applications.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to develop effective working relationships with all students, staff and the school community.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and policies.
Experience working with students in a diverse, multicultural academic setting preferred Ability to perform duties of a sensitive & confidential nature Bilingual preferred
Experience:
One year experience in an educational office environment preferred COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
An hourly salary range of $16.
56-$17.
76 dependent on experience and qualifications combined with a comprehensive fringe benefit package will be offered to the successful applicant.
